Each year, the Super Bowl offers a glimpse into some really exciting films to check out in the upcoming year. They tend to be first looks at big-budget studio films with a lot of hype, such as Solo: A Star Wars Story, Mission: Impossible – Fallout and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. Sometimes, though, you can catch a cool look into some more niche films, like A Quiet Place and The Cloverfield Paradox. Last night, Super Bowl LII’s ads gave us insight into some of the most anticipated films coming out this spring and summer. Without any further ado, enjoy some of the most talked-about and hyped-up trailers for some big films coming to a theater near you.
A Quiet Place
Experience terror and the true meaning of “silence is golden” in the horrifying film A Quiet Place. Real-life couple Emily Blunt and John Krasinski star as a family living in an isolated world ravaged by alien invaders that kill at any sound. “If they hear you, they hunt you,” is the family’s motto, so they must live in silence or face annihilation. Try not to make a sound on April 6.
Like no war you’ve ever seen, the biggest showdown featuring the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe comes together to defeat Thanos before he destroys the world. Infinity War explodes into theaters on May 4. Last night’s Super Bowl spot includes some new footage from the film that didn’t appear in its first teaser, released back in November.
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom
When a volcano threatens the existing dinosaurs, Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard mount an expedition to save them from extinction … again. Beginning as an honest struggle for survival, their journey unveils a dark conspiracy that could return the world to a prehistoric land that deems only the ones with the biggest teeth survive. Try not to get eaten on June 22.
