Like the villain in an ‘80s slasher flick, comedian and midnight movie host Joe Bob Briggs will be back for a sequel. The Last Drive-In with with Joe Bob Briggs has been renewed for a second season on streaming service Shudder.
The horror aficionado revealed the news on Twitter in typical redneck Joe Bob fashion, sipping a beer, educating followers on a mutated breed of carp swimming around the East River and making sure he would be paid for the new season—$400, which is a steal, really.
I tried to post this 3 times. So much for trying to do Darcy’s job. @Shudder@kinky_horror#TheLastDriveInhttps://t.co/51RApzsqdq

This news couldn’t come at a better time for his devoted fanbase—”mutants”—as the final episode of the first season airs this Friday, May 24. Briggs and his co-star Diana “Darcy the Mail Girl” Prince guided viewers through a nine-week run of double features, including cult classics like 1984’s C.H.U.D., the Alien-biting, Italian-made Contamination and even the arthouse film A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night.
