David Crosby Messes with Chance the Rapper in New Twitter Ad
Photos by Kevin Winter/Getty, Ilya S. Savenok/GettyChance the Rapper is the face of Twitter’s latest advertisement, which highlights the platform’s ability to engage artists and their fans in a silly minute-long bit. The ad also enlists Twitter’s most popular old person, David Crosby.
Crosby, who once claimed in a tweet that rap music “isn’t music,” appears to be okay with making fun of himself. The video depicts Chance asking for song requests via Twitter before a show, with fans replying with the rapper’s most popular tunes, including “Cocoa Butter Kisses” and “Same Drugs.” Crosby replies with a request for Chance to play “anything with real instruments” and suggests he could “up [Chance’s] game.”
Watch the sad-vertisement below and check out a 1984 Crosby performance from the Paste Cloud beneath that.
Any requests? Real instruments? No problem.
