While backstage at “Let’s Save the Future!,” a charity event for an education nonprofit, the dynamic duo of Tim Heidecker and Weyes Blood treated us to a sweet backstage look at a surprise duet of the Beatles classic, “Let It Be.”

And a little flub at the beginning didn’t stop them.

“What’s the fucking first line?” Heidecker asked in the warm-up clip he shared on Instagram.

“When I find myself in times … ” the person recording, who appears to be Jonathan Rado, who produced Weyes Blood’s Titanic Rising and Heidecker’s forthcoming What The Brokenhearted Do …, trails off before Heidecker starts strumming again.

With perfectly melded harmonies throughout, the duet ends with a fun, folksy finish, after which Rado mutters a “wow.”

Wow, indeed.

If only we were there to see the actual performance. But at least you can check out the snippet of the practice below, plus Weyes Blood’s 2015 Daytrotter Session further down.
