Watch Wolf People’s Darkly Psychedelic Video for “Not Me Sir”

British psych-rock band Wolf People have gotten pegged as a sort of Black Sabbath/Fairport Convention amalgamation and the band’s new video for Ruins cut “Not Me Sir” serves to illustrate this point well.
The video brings to mind Jordan Belson’s influential 1961 short film Allures, if that experimental piece had more close-up guitar soloing and light flares in it. It seems as though each member of the four-piece gets their own on-screen moment of gazing off into the distance while abstract brains dance around them. The whole thing’s trippy for sure, and if there’s a Sabbath comparison to be had, it’s more “Sweet Leaf” than “Electric Funeral.”
