About the Book

The memory of an act committed when she was nineteen weaves a dark thread through Clen McClendon's life. It is a darkness Clen ignores until the discovery of her husband's infidelity propels her on a quest for redemption and forgiveness. Her journeying is providing few answers and peace remains elusive, even during the time she spends in an abbey. But when Clen makes a decision that is both desperate and random to go to Wrangell, Alaska, she meets Gerrum Kirsey and learns that choices are never truly random and they always have consequences.

About the Author

Ann is the author of twelve contemporary novels that explore the resilience of the human spirit. In a former life, she spent thirty years as a clinical laboratory scientist, a career that ended abruptly when the toxicology laboratory she was directing closed, forcing her to face a question she wasn’t yet expecting to face: What was she going to do with the rest of her life?

After giving in to an unexpected urge to write a story, she quickly discovered the delights of creating fictional worlds, although it meant readjusting the habits of a lifetime. After all, throughout her scientific career, her left (logical) brain had been in control. This time around, she had moved into right (creative) brain territory.

Her first novel, Dreams for Stones, was published by Samhain Publishing in December of 2007 and is an Indie Next Generation Book Award Finalist. Two novels, Counterpointe and Doubtful, have received Compulsion Reads endorsements.
