About the Book
SYNOPSIS
Inca a Siberian female cat is the
main character in the story and she writes about her furry family – her
brother, Fromage addicted to cheese who considers himself a cheese monger and
her sister Cara, a gorgeous but timid Siamese. They own, according to Inca, Missy a young
humanoid who has a well-established cheese shop in Paris.
The story revolves around how
Missy decides to move to London with her co-partners Jacques and Genevieve to
run their new cheese shop cum café. Can
Fromage leave his pal Charlotte behind?
The three cats meet Monk, a blue
Russian cat and Terrance, a golden retriever owned by their famous neighbor, a detective
named Solo, living in the same compound where they are housed in
Kensington.
Things start to get interesting
when Monk tries to help their neighbor Polo whose mistress a formerly
well-known opera singer pining for lost husband has her valuable diamond
necklace stolen.
Can Inca and her family assist
Monk and Terrance to recover the diamond necklace and resolve Polo’s problems?
What about the new cheese shop,
will it be a success? Despite Fromage’s
confident attitude, will it rest on Inca’s shoulders to ensure its success?
About the Author
Bio – R.F. Kristy (Author of the Inca Cat Series)
The intelligence and allure of cats has always
enchanted me. Writing the Inca Cat Series arose out of the blue. I had never dreamed of writing stories for
children. My specialty, due to my work
with the United Nations concentrated on reports of a technical nature. A world much removed from the milieu of
children’s books. I never read romantic
novels, science fiction nor fantasy stories. Detective stories on the other
hand have me hooked. I am rather
nostalgic and like a more ordered world. From watching and interacting with
both my cats, Inca and Cara, the Inca Cat Series was born. Loving a good mystery, when I started writing
about the cat adventures, the ideas started flowing. The idea for the Inca Cat Series came to me,
rather from living and observation- and the details in a strange way, from
reading rather than from living or observation. The “Christmas Cats” followed
and the third “Cats in Provence” is currently bubbling. I don't think we choose
our genre, I think that a genre chooses us or should I say, Inca and Cara made
the choice inevitable.
R.F. Kristi holds a doctorate in economic development
and has worked for the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and the United
Nations Education, Science & Cultural Organization (UNESCO). She has
traveled and lived in many countries around the globe. She is fluent in English and French.
