Amy Hef is an emerging pop artist on the loose. Splitting
her time between Calgary and Los Angeles, she’s a recording artist, style-maker
and straight-talking songwriter, single-minded in her mission to conquer the
international music scene. Amy’s songs are bold, full of swagger, and have
hooked the attention of fans, producers and music industry big fish alike.
Saskatchewan-born and Alberta-raised, Amy grew up
brilliantly musical but painfully shy. Music gave her a voice and the drive to
fine-tune her skills, learn from the best and succeed no matter what.
Amy Hef got her first big stage gig as a drummer, touring
North America with Juno-nominated artist Janelle. The tour concluded and Amy
wasted no time setting her next big goal. She set her sites on Los Angeles
where she attended the Musician’s Institute in Hollywood. It was here that she
fine-tuned her skills and received top honors for her focused work and
presentation, inevitably winning the Best Project Award. Here she also recorded
her first EP, self-titled: Amy Heffernan.
Amy remained in Los Angeles and continued to write and
record music with her brother Doug Heffernan, who was not only a touring musician
in the 80s and 90s, but learned his production craft at the feet of industry
legends Paul Atkinson (who discovered ABBA and Judas Priest), Paul Lani
(producer for the likes of U2, Pat Benatar, Elton John & Prince) and other
Over the next three years, Amy grabbed every opportunity
that came her way, sharpened her skills and got noticed. Music Connection Magazine listed Amy one of
the Top 100 Unsigned Artists and George Stroumboulopoulos named her in the Top
3 Buzz Bands at Canadian Music Week. Then, in 2012 Amy won the 90.3 AMP Radio
Rockstar competition, beating out hundreds of other Canadian music hopefuls and
infusing the financial backing to catapult her career.
Now, Amy Hef is hitting the scene harder than ever before,
impressing audiences with her energetic stage presence and tight live vocals.
Recent performances include New Zealand (With the Bangles), the San Diego

Club LA (with Everclear) and at the Worldwide Radio Summit and MusExpo, an
