Mike Tifft starting playing guitar at the age of 14 and immediately developed a passion for songwriting. Many of those earliest songs really were not fit for human consumption, but over the years, as more and more songs were written, the talent was refined and eventually some pretty good songs started coming to fruition.
Now at the age of 50 and having been married for over 25 years and having raised four kids, he has many life experiences to draw from as he continues to create new material.
Mike doesn't really see himself so much a performer as he does a songwriter and so most of his material is actually played and recorded by a studio musician Mike has worked with for the last thirteen years, by the name of Nigel Cuff. The vocals are either done by himself, his wife or by various friends who sing. Therefore, these demos serve as something of a farming resource both for Mike's own projects and possibly others who may be interested in using his songs. Hopefully, you will enjoy the music and be ministered to by the message. If you would be interested in using any of his songs feel free to contact him for permission.
Mike is also now part of band called Old Man Down where he plays rhythm guitar and occasional leads. Some of his songs are now being redone by that band.
