The Schills are a punk pop band from Portland, Oregon with strong roots in the Northwest Garage Rock tradition of early 60s bands such as the Sonics, The Kingsmen and Paul Revere and The Raiders fused with the 80s post-punk sound of female fronted bands such as Concrete Blonde, Romeo Void, and Patti Smith. There sound is made up of roaring guitars, throbbing bass, pounding drums, and a wailiing baritone sax that back up the salty and sultry vocals of frontwoman Erica Johnson.
