Description
Thorntree emerged out of the small town of Arkadelphia, Arkansas. Wanting to venture into new musical territories, they began playing together and found a chemistry that couldn't be ignored. With acoustic guitars, mandolin, violin, bass, and tight 3-part vocals, their music roots itself in bluegrass and folk but it is uniquely blended with pop, jazz, and funk to create a refreshingly new sound. This music draws from a wide variety of influences ranging from Nickel Creek and Jars of Clay to James Taylor and Mozart. Their self-titled EP has reached distances as far as Europe and is winning fans daily. Each of the five members brings a unique timbre to the band, creating a fine-tuned sonority that will turn anyone's ear.
