Here’s What Ron and Hermione’s Family Looks Like in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child

Spoiler alert: Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger end up getting married in the Harry Potter franchise. And they look great.

Yesterday, Pottermore released preview photos of Harry, Albus and Ginny Potter in the play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, the follow-up to the Harry Potter series that follows Harry’s son, Albus Severus Potter. Today, they released photos for Ron, Hermione and their daughter, Rose Granger-Weasley.

Though the casting was met with controversy, Norma Dumezweni will play Hermione. “She gets Hermione inside out,” said J.K. Rowling in the Pottermore post.

Paul Thornley will play Ron, who is similar to the tackily-dressed Ron that wears his mother’s jumpers in the Harry Potter books. “Ron in his forties isn’t very different from Ron in his teens, except that his feet hurt a bit more,” said Rowling.

Cherrelle Skeete, who appeared in theatre productions of The Lion King and Wind in the Willows and the TV show Call the Midwife, is playing Rose Granger-Weasley. “Rose is like her mother, but more secure, more grounded,” said Rowling. “She was born to wizards and knows her place in the world. Cherrelle plays her perfectly: bossy but deeply lovable.”

Tomorrow, Pottermore will reveal cast photos of two more characters in the third and final reveal before the preview performances of the play.
