Showtime Announces New Special, More Funny Women of a Certain Age

Female comedians don’t seem to be in the limelight as much as male stand-ups, but on March 14, Showtime is releasing their second all-female comedy showcase, More Funny Women of a Certain Age.

Premiering at 10 p.m. ET, six of comedy’s funniest women over 50 will take over the Bell House in Brooklyn for a night of laughs.

Headlining the show is Caroline Rhea (Sabrina The Teenage Witch) alongside host and creator Carole Montgomery (Comics Unleashed), Carol Leifer (Seinfeld), Julia Scotti (America’s Got Talent), Tammy Pescatelli (Finding The Funny) and Thea Vidale (Last Comic Standing).

The women discuss the hysterical realities of getting older with bits about parenting adult children, navigating today’s technology, and poking fun at the contrasts between the older and younger generations.

More Funny Women of a Certain Age is the second installment of the hit comedy showcase from Montgomery and producer Dave Goldberg. The first More Funny Women of a Certain Age was Showtime’s highest-rated stand-up special premiere in 2019.
