Stephen Colbert Lobbies for Trump’s Dishonest Media Awards with a Times Square Billboard

Donald Trump always has his finger on the pulse of America. He knows we love awards shows, and as we enter awards season he doesn’t want to be left out of the conversation. And so earlier this week he announced the first annual Most Dishonest Corrupt Media Awards of the Year, which is absolutely something you expect a legitimate, real life president to do.

Obviously these things are going to bring great prestige to whoever happens to win them, and so Stephen Colbert has taken a page from Hollywood and started up his own awards show lobbying campaign. There’s now a billboard in Times Square touting The Late Show with Stephen Colbert for such awards as “Fakest Dishonesty,” “Least Breitbarty” and “The Eric Trump Memorial Award for Disappointment.” Colbert unveiled the billboard on last night’s episode, and you can watch that right here:

Does Colbert stand a chance when the big winners are announced? Or is CNN and NBC a lock to sweep the awards? We’ll find out when Trump announces the awards on Monday afternoon, assuming he ever actually remembers anything he says or does for more than five minutes after saying or doing it.
