The Lord of the Rings Cast Reunited, and It’s Glorious

More than 15 years ago, The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring opened in theaters and changed the face of cinema. For those of who grew up watching these films (I was 9 when I saw the first one in theaters), it changed how we watched movies and lead to everything else being compared to Peter Jackson’s trilogy. For a while, many films didn’t stand a chance. Nothing could compare. And even better news? It’s still awesome today, and the cast still hang out.
Recently, the cast of the trilogy reunited for what one could assume is a pretty epic dinner. One might imagine that they hunted some wild beast armed only with a bow and arrow, drinking the richest mead late into the night. Dominic Monaghan (a frequent Paste Soccer contributor) posted the proof of the reunion on his Instagram, posing with his friends in a battle-ready lineup. Oh, how time has aged us all.
