Donald Trump Retweets a Bad Tweet, Everyone is Shocked

We live in a special time. Ever since the moment Donald Trump entered the sphere of American politics, news journalists across the country have had to get used to the fact that they now have to give inordinate amounts of coverage to one large racist infant’s shitposting.

Not since “covfefe” happened has so much news time been given to something so dumb, but here we are: Donald Trump retweeted a GIF yesterday that spliced together footage of him swinging a golf club and knocking Hillary Clinton down with a golfball. The GIF comes from an account whose handle (@fuctupmind) should tell you all you need to know about it.

CNN reported on the story, with its anchor seemingly unable to reconcile the fact that the president of the United States is the person retweeting this stupidity. Just listen to how many times he says “the president” in his introduction.

Look, in case you haven’t been around, this is kind of par for the course for Donald Trump. He tweets and retweets heinous, dumb bullshit. Outlets like CNN react in renewed shock, and their endless coverage dominates the news cycle in the same way that helped Trump win the election in the first place. Trump is a petty, mean-spirited, sexist child and he tweets like it. If this still shocks you, we don’t know what to tell you.
