McDonald’s Investigating Glorious Anti-Trump Tweet After Account “Compromised”
Photo by Justin Sullivan/GettyDisappointing everyone, McDonald’s said its Twitter account was hacked this morning after a brutal anti-Trump message was tweeted at the president’s personal account.
Twitter notified us that our account was compromised. We deleted the tweet, secured our account and are now investigating this.

In case you somehow haven’t seen the tweet yet, here’s a screenshot of what the McDonald’s corporate Twitter account quickly deleted:

If you’re assuming this is another case of a social media employee mistakenly tweeting from the wrong account, think again, as you’ll notice above that the tweet was pinned to the account’s timeline. So, this was either truly the result of a hacking, or a McDonald’s employee made the conscious decision to lose their job by sticking it to the man in the best way possible. We’ll likely never know for sure.
Last we heard from the fast-food giant, (and as you can see in the embedded tweet above) the company said they’ve “secured” the account and are now investigating further—meanwhile, the internet is having a field day. Be sure to stay tuned to Paste as we await the president’s inevitable firing back at his now-former favorite restaurant.
