Watch Eleven from Stranger Things Expertly Rap Nicki Minaj’s “Monster” Verse

Stranger Things meets Nicki Minaj? Stranger things have happened. Last night on The Tonight Show, Jimmy Fallon played a fun game with the kids from Stranger Things called “Stranger Strings,” which is maybe the most on-brand thing Jimmy Fallon has ever done.

The real action doesn’t start until the end of the game, though (around the 4:30 mark) when we discover that Millie Bobby Brown can do a pretty on-point impersonation of Nicki Minaj. As the segment ends, Brown performs most of Minaj’s “Monster” verse with a little help from The Roots. In her youthful politeness, she decides to censor herself, which is really the best part. At the same time, the rest of the cast dances along and hits each other with silly string. It’s all very adorable.

Stranger Things was recently renewed for a second season, and all the major players are expected to return. Fallon also produced a sketch last night focused on Barb’s rage at being left behind in the Upside Down.

With the cast returning for a second season, we can only hope Brown comes back next year with a new verse memorized. It could be anything really, but perhaps something from Kanye’s more recent work?
