James Patterson Introduces “Books at the Speed of Life” with BookShots

Books News

The world is extremely familiar with author James Patterson, the prolific author responsible for many, many an action adventure/mystery/romance novel. Patterson is also an all-around champion for indie book stores, libraries and child literacy.

Now, the author has announced a new type of book format meant to “revolutionize” the literary market: BookShots. At 150 pages each, the author’s website boasts that these small novels can be easily read in a single sitting. The catchphrase for this venture is “Books at the speed of life,” and the books can also be read via the BookShots app on iOS and Android.

Each of these short stories can be bought for around $5, although the audio versions double that price. Current titles include an entry into the Alex Cross series and the sequel to Zoo, which will soon get its own TV show. According to an interview with the Sydney Morning Herald, Patterson has 117 BookShots that are written and ready to go.
