Comedy Albums from Jen Kirkman, Henry Phillips to be Released Next Month

Jen Kirkman’s stand up album I’m Gonna Die Alone (And I Feel Fine) and Henry Phillips’ Neither Here Nor There will be released on digital platforms next month, on Aug. 5 and 19, respectively.

Kirkman’s special I’m Gonna Die Alone (And I Feel Fine) is her third stand-up album, following Self Help (2006) and Hail to the Freaks (2011). The special was previously released exclusively on Netflix, and is available now on Audible Channels for service subscribers. Previously a writer on Chelsea Lately and the author of New York Times-bestseller I Can Barely Take Care of Myself (2013), Kirkman also released a second book in April, I Know What I’m Doing and Other Lies I Tell Myself. Her stand-up, based largely on her life experiences as a childless 40-year-old divorcee, has earned her widespread acclaim.

Phillips, a comedian partial to musical bits, recorded Neither Here Nor There live at the Lyric Theater in Los Angeles. Ahead of its Aug. 19 release on digital platforms, it is available now Audible Channels, and a video of the special will be released to Vimeo on Aug. 15. Phillips is largely known for his YouTube channel, featuring his awkward cooking show series “Henry’s Kitchen.” Phillips’ semi-biographical film Punching The Clown (2009) earned him the Audience Award at the Slamdance film festival. The sequel And Punching The Clown stars J.K. Simmons and Sarah Silverman, and premiered at this year’s SXSW Film Festival.
