Sean Spicer’s absurd claim that Hitler didn’t use chemical weapons during yesterday’s White House press briefing should be parody-proof—like, you can’t really make that any more ridiculous than it already is—but the video above proves you can still find new ways to wring comedy out of it. The video, which was put together by Dan Ketchum (after a tweet by Jesse McLaren), looks and feels so much like an episode of Veep that I’m pretty sure we’ve somehow slipped into the fictional universe of Armando Iannucci’s creation. Really, it’s the only thing that makes any sense right now. If I produced Veep I’d probably just cancel the show now, as it can’t really get any better than this.
