Before Nyan cat, before even the Internet (thank you, Al Gore), there was Lisa Frank. Vying with Hello Kitty for ‘90s lunchbox ubiquity, Frank’s rainbow colored unicorns touched a special tackiness inside of all of us—well..mostly, as the official site points out, young girls.
Artist Ariel Hart is channeling Frank’s glossy designs in a convincingly spot-on new set of Tarot cards, as Huffington Post points out.
“Lisa Frank is a great example of a brand that was likely intended for young people that inadvertently found a way to stick with them for the rest of their lives,” Hart said.
