Emperor Thaurissan is obsessed with power, as is the artist who depicts him. Look at all those reds, oranges and yellows! I bet Thaurissan would be the CEO of a Fortune 500 company in no time, if given the chance. Someone probably needs to talk to him about employee health insurance, though.

Vaporize is one of the lesser-used Secrets in Hearthstone, but its art is masterful. There's nothing particularly unique about it, but the artist clearly spent some time on this piece. It's particularly reminiscent of art from Magic: The Gathering, another popular card game.

Edwin VanCleef's got some competition! Reno's confident, has prominent facial hair and the manliest chin. He's basically the Indiana Jones of Azeroth. In seriousness, the line work and attention to detail in this piece is absolutely astounding. Plus, Reno's pretty powerful in-game, too!

Subtlety takes center stage in the art for Wilfred Fizzlebang, a gnome warlock. There's tons of detail in this picture, and a foreboding visage of the monumentally gigantic Lord Jaraxxus sits in the background. It's fun to imagine the two standing next to one another.

Worgen Infiltrator is just plain cool. He's an anthropomorphic, roof-walking wolf wielding a huge, curved dagger in the rain. Further, he wasn't half bad in some Hearthstone decks. There's absolutely nothing wrong if this is your favorite card art.

Auchenai Soulpriest has one of the most diverse color pallets among all the cards in Hearthstone's pantheon. There's a lot of action going on here, from the spells she's casting to whatever weirdness is going on around her; regardless of what that may be, it is gorgeous!

Sylvanas is the leader of the Horde's undead faction, and one of Warcraft's oldest, most powerful entities. Sylvanas's card art exudes the aura of importance her reputation carries, as two of her fellow Horde members watch as she deals judgment to some poor soul… no pun intended.

Unstable Portal seems fairly benign at first glance, but take a closer look: there's a rainbow of colors flooded across the floor, while the rest of the image oozes with subtle, beautiful artistry. Given its placid nature, you'd never think this was a card that made even the most veteran Hearthstone players want to rip their hair out in frustration.

Tirion is one of the most important and powerful characters on this list, and he's depicted in similar circumstance. In his art, the leader of the Argent Crusade stands atop a mountain of Scourge minions, equipped with legendary weapon Ashbringer, one of Azeroth's most-feared weapons.

While one of the older art pieces on our list, this piece isn't done any amount of justice when seen through the spectacularly small Hearthstone card window. The perspective on this creation is utterly astounding, and will have you doing a double-take… maybe even a triple.
