Lin-Manuel Miranda and J.J. Abrams Won May the Fourth, Because They Win Everything

What can’t Lin-Manuel Miranda do right nowadays? His musical just broke the record for Tony nominations, he may have single-handedly kept Alexander Hamilton on our currency and now he’s just celebrated May the Fourth in the best way possible: with Episode VII director J.J. Abrams, singing “Jabba Flow,” the new cantina song the two wrote together for The Force Awakens, for the assembled Hamilton lottery hopefuls at today’s #Ham4Ham.

Miranda explained some of the background behind the song, whose lyrics he wrote in Hutteese, the language of Jabba and his fellow Hutts. Apparently, the lyrics translate to, “No lover lover, it wasn’t me.” “It’s literally a Shaggy intergalactic remix,” Miranda told the crowd. They then performed the song and announced that it would be made available on iTunes and the Star Wars website; formerly, only the Rick Rubin remix had been made public. Stream “Jabba Flow” here.

Happy Star Wars Day, Lin-Manuel. Keep doing you.
