Updated: A Tribe Called Quest Reveal Their Final Album’s Cover
Image via Twitter (@ATCQ)A Tribe Called Quest’s final album is due out in a little over a week, and details around it are pouring out.
Yesterday, we learned its title, stylized as We got it from Here… Thank You 4 Your service, along with its considerable feature list, which includes André 3000, Kendrick Lamar, Jack White, Elton John and Busta Rhymes.
Today the group debuted the album’s cover art on their social media. The group’s logo is in neon green and its title is in gold, set against a black-and-white background. In the lower left is the female figure from the group’s second album, The Low End Theory, which was also featured on the cover of their next two albums, Midnight Marauders and Beats, Rhymes and Life, and in the bottom right is a naked woman squatting oddly while taking a selfie. It’s an eclectic mix of elements and it’s already drawn some rather mixed reactions.
We got it from Here… Thank You 4 Your service is due for release on Nov. 11. You can see the uncropped album cover in the group’s tweet below, and you can preorder the album here.
