Easy Eye Sound Releases Another Piece From Upcoming Anthology Tell Everybody!

Infamous and prolific contemporary blue label Easy Eye Sound, founded by Grammy winner and Black Keys frontman Dan Auerbach, is putting out a celebratory anthology of 21st century juke joint music later this summer. Featuring the work of Auerbach, the Black Keys, Jimmy “Duck” Holmes, Robert Finley, Joe Walsh and others, Tell Everybody! ranges near and far across the works of bluesmen who have greatly informed the landscape of rock ‘n’ roll over the last century.

Today, the label has released R.L. Boyce’s “Coal Black Mattie,” a gorgeous country boogie tune that’ll get you up off your feet. Boyce has been around for five decades and helped perfect the Hill Country boogie style he flaunts on the track. Through satisfying, rumbling guitar riffs and repeating verses, “Coal Black Mattie” is an earworm that’ll stick with you for the long haul.
