FYF Fest 2018 Has Been Canceled
Photo by Matt Cowan/GettyOn Sunday, Los Angeles music festival FYF Fest announced the cancellation of this year’s event, which had been set to take place on July 21-22 at Exposition Park. This marks the first year without an FYF Fest since the festival began in 2004.
Though Billboard reported that the festival had been canceled by promoter Goldenvoice due to low ticket sales, the fest’s official statement says they “felt unable to present an experience on par with [fan] expectations.” All ticket holders will receive full refunds. The festival said that they will put on shows featuring artists from this year’s lineup and those shows will be announced soon.
The 2018 lineup was set to include Florence + The Machine, My Bloody Valentine, Janet Jackson, Car Seat Headrest, The xx, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, St. Vincent, The Breeders, Lucy Dacus, Mount Kimbie, Stephen Malkmus and The Jicks, Charlotte Gainsbourg, U.S. Girls and more.
