Last Christmas, MGMT hinted at their return to releasing music in 2016 with a tweet.

And then 2016 rolled around, and nothing was heard from MGMT about their supposed resurgence. With 2016 now nearing its end, the band has clarified that 2017 will actually be the year of their return.

Now only time will tell if our “mind holes” will actually be re-dominated by MGMT in 2017. Regardless, their return, which we can only hope involves Mac DeMarco, will be their first release since their 2013 self-titled album.
