Happy Friday: You Can Now Stream Over 300 New Prince Songs

Has something been missing in your life? Maybe you can’t place a finger on it, but since April of 2016, a void has needed filling. Perhaps you’ve been searching for a little musical soothing since Prince left us. Well, search no longer, as more than 300 of the purple genius’ songs from 1995-2010 are now available for streaming on your favorite platforms.

While the limited selection of his catalog previously available for streaming included some of the greats—Purple Rain and Dirty Mind, we’re looking at you—the Prince Estate and Sony Music Entertainment have blessed us by expanding that selection with 23 new titles and Prince Anthology: 1995-2010. The anthology, curated by the estate, includes a selection of 37 essential songs from the era.

This is only the first wave of releases stemming from the Sony deal. In total, the company acquired the distribution rights to 35 of the singer’s albums, meaning there’s 12 left to be released for streaming. The list of titles available as of today, Aug. 17, include The Gold Experience (1995), Emancipation (which Prince called his “most important record” upon its release in 1996), The Rainbow Children (2001), Musicology (2004), Planet Earth (2007) and 20Ten (2010).
