Speedy Ortiz’s Sadie Dupuis and Lizzo Collab on “Basement Queens”

Yesterday, Speedy Ortiz’s Sadie Dupuis took to Twitter to tease her new pop project Sad13.

Dupuis’ debut came in the form of a video chat collaboration with hip-hop artist Lizzo where they wrote the song “Basement Queens” as part of a Google docs promotion. The two singers met in studio two weeks later where, with the help of producer Computer Magic, they made the song come to life.

Dupuis and Lizzo’s single is available for free on Google Play and below you can watch the collaboration unfold.
