Photo by Kevin Winter/Getty Music Video Tyler, The CreatorUpon its original DVD release in January, only 500 copies of Tyler, The Creator’s Cherry Bomb: The Documentary were available to the public. However, the documentary is now available to be streamed in full.
The 43-minute film, directed and produced by Mikey Alfred and Illegal Civ Cinema, follows Tyler, The Creator during the making of his 2015 album Cherry Bomb.
The documentary features footage of Tyler, his collaborators, and friends such as the rest of the Odd Future crew, A$AP Rocky, Kali Uchis, Frank Ocean, Hans Zimmer and so many more doing everything from recording in the studio or performing live to hanging out at SkyZone.
Filled with eclectic graphics, backstories behind several of the album’s tracks, hilarious anecdotes and intimate moments between friends, the documentary gives an interesting insight into the creative process of one of hip-hop’s most provocative characters.
