Violent Femmes are much more than their megahit “Blister in the Sun,” although that remains a hell of a song. The Milwaukee, Wis. punk rockers have been active off and on since 1980, always as a trio—the band currently consists of Gordon Gano, John Sparrow and Brian Ritchie. They released We Can Do Anything in March, their ninth studio album and their first in 16 years.
