Over at Alternet, Dan Cohen has compiled a seven-minute lowlight reel of Bill Maher’s most Islamophobic moments, while asking a very good question: Now that Milo’s gone, can Maher be next?

The article, and the video, both raise a very good question: Why do we tolerate this kind of open hatred and bigotry from someone in Maher’s position? Is it because he claims to be liberal in other areas, so we can overlook his routine vitriol directed at a marginalized group? If so, that’s a huge hypocritical blind spot for the American left.
