Mark Zuckerberg’s Twitter, Pinterest Accounts Hacked

Tech News Twitter

Creator of Facebook and avid hoodie wearer Mark Zuckerberg had his Pinterest and Twitter accounts hacked as part of a LinkedIn data breach that occurred last month. The hackers, OurMine Team, hacked both accounts on Sunday. Interestingly, Zuckerberg’s password was “dadada.”

The hacker group tweeted, “Hey @finkd, you were in Linkedin Database with the password ‘dadada’!” through Zuckerberg’s Twitter account.” They also set Zuckerberg’s Pinterest name to “Hacked by OurMine Team.”

Twitter and Pinterest have since restored Zuckerberg’s accounts, though he rarely uses either account—his last tweet was sent out in 2012. Twitter has also suspended OurMine Team’s Twitter account, which the hackers promoted while in control of Zuckerberg’s accounts.

The hackers were unable to access Zuckerberg’s Instagram and Facebook accounts, preventing the ultimate irony. Zuckerberg is one of many celebrity Twitter accounts to have been hacked. Bon Iver, Tenacious D, Keith Richards and Tame Impala also had their Twitter accounts hacked over the weekend.
