Because of Shanghai Disney, the City Now Has an “Etiquette” Guide

No littering. No cutting in line. And no…lying on the ground? Those are just a few of the rules
from Shanghai’s new etiquette guide, which was just released before the opening of the city’s new Disney resort.

The guide, a response to recent vandalism to the unopened theme park, is a simple list of six rules with the intention to keep “uncivilized behaviors” at bay, according to China’s Xinhua News.

And what are these uncivilized behaviors?
-No littering.
-No defacing park property.
-No damaging the landscape.
-No rowdiness.
-No cutting in line.
-No lying on the ground—probably meant for tantrum-throwing toddlers than the people lulled to sleep in line for “it’s a small world.”

The Shanghai Disney Resort is set to open June 16. It’ll be the first Disney theme park opening in the last 10 years, and it’ll also probably give the world what’s most been waiting for: 18 hours of “It’s a Small World” in Mandarin.
