This Company Will Take Your Stuffed Animal on Vacation

Travel News

Being a stuffed animal is apparently harder than it looks. What with all the drool, being thrown
across rooms and near-constant stitching, it’s not the easy life often imagined. So before your teddy seeks refuge in 80 cent tequila nights or, heaven forbid, under the bed, the new trend seems to be sending your animal on the vacation of a lifetime.

Starting at $50, Unagi Travel will take your stuffed animal on a most memorable trip through
Tokyo or historic Kamakura. Along the way, Unagi will be there to snap selfies and document
your animal’s entire vacation, an itinerary that may include stops atop Tokyo Tower or a traipse through the Asakusa. Judging by the company’s Instagram account, these trips look like a blast. Just look at this adorable Panda couple Peter Panda and his wife Amanda—taking a quick coffee from Starbucks in Seoul. And Worried Potato is enjoying his ride along the Tokyu Toyoko Line.

For now, the only destinations currently offered include day trips around Tokyo and Kamakura. But it, by the looks of their Instagram, Seoul’s already on the itinerary. Hopefully, continued expansion will allow cultural tours for the animals to get in touch with their roots—like a Penguin trip to the Antarctic or maybe a trip to Hell for Teddy Ruxpin.

If your teddy’s interested, just book a tour online, ship your pal to Tokyo and follow its adventures. Just know that your stuffed animal will be gone 2-3 weeks in total, so expect a few sleepless nights while your toys soaks in some culture.
