Preacher Season Two Premiere Date, New Photos Revealed

AMC announced today that Preacher’s second season will premiere June 19 at 9 p.m. EST on the cable network.

Based on Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon’s popular ‘90s comic of the same name, the show follows Jesse Custer, a Texas preacher whose possession by a supernatural entity grants him an incredible power. While the show’s first season mostly took place prior to the events of the source material, season two will see Jesse, his girlfriend Tulip and Irish vampire Cassidy set off on a mission to confront God for everything that’s happened in his recent absence.

With the premiere date, a handful of new photos from the forthcoming season also hit the web, and you can check those out below. Yesterday, AMC also announced that Noah Taylor (Game of Thrones, Peaky Blinders), Julie Ann Emery (Better Call Saul, Fargo) and Pip Torrens (Versailles, The Crown) were joining the cast in the new season, along with Justin Prentice (13 Reasons Why), Malcom Barrett (Timeless, Better Off Ted) and Ronald Guttman (All My Children) in three smaller roles.

Though the show’s premiere date is still more than three months away, you can feast your eyes on these season two images in the meantime.
