In the exclusive teaser trailer for WGN America’s upcoming Shoot the Messenger (see below), cub reporter Daisy Channing (Elyse Levesque) stumbles into the story of a lifetime—one she’ll see through to the end even if it comes at great personal risk.
The eight-part limited series, part of network’s new “Prime Crime” programming strategy— which also includes 100 Code, Bellevue and Pure—follows Daisy as her investigation of what appears to be a gang murder leads her to uncover a conspiracy that reaches to the highest levels of the business and political worlds. Shoot the Messenger co-stars Alex Kingston as Daisy’s editor, Lucas Bryant as her co-worker, and Lyriq Bent as a local homicide detective.
Shoot the Messenger, co-created by Jennifer Holness and Sudz Sutherland, is set to air on WGN America in 2018.
