She’s reading Kelly Sue DeConnick’s brilliant run on Captain Marvel while wearing a Captain Marvel sweatshirt. Yeah, she just might be perfect for this role.
DeConnick was the first writer to take over Captain Marvel after Carol Danvers adopted the identity. She wrote the series for three fantastic years. Her run is the perfect foundation for Captain Marvel and can be read in six trade paperbacks, digitally or physically.
Back in June, when Larson was first rumored to be the frontrunner for Captain Marvel, artist BossLogic created the following mock-up. Consider us very excited for Captain Marvel‘s far-off release date of March 8, 2019.
