Watch Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks Cover Taylor Swift’s “Blank Space”

Last month, Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks stopped by You Who, a Portland-based variety show for kids, and played a cover of Taylor Swift’s hit “Blank Space.”

This morning the video of that performance surfaced via the Fader, which sees the band playing a faithful version of the 1989 song to a room full of kids and parents, the kids playing with bubbles as they float overhead and the parents possibly wishing for “Gold Soundz.” It’s a fun time and a great cover, with the band tackling the song in earnest for an atypical crowd.
