Krautrock heavyweights Can produced some of the most vital and thrilling rock music ever made throughout the late 1960s and 1970s. David Lee Roth was a one-man party machine and hard-rockin’ cartoon ladykiller during his time with Van Halen. Together they make a brilliant pair in this mash-up, which combines Roth’s vocals from “Runnin’ With the Devil” with Can’s “Mother Sky.” It’s funny, sure, but also perversely exciting—these two galactically opposed musical titans mesh together much better than they have any right to.
