In New Promo for Time Machine, Leslie Jones Reflects on Being 50 and Thriving

On Jan. 14, Leslie Jones got her very own Netflix special, directed by David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, formerly the directors of Game of Thrones, who used a total of nine cameras to capture Jones’ stand-up routine. The SNL alum proved her ability to successfully work a crowd and had the space to truly show off her emotional and comedic range.

Jones further explored the vivaciousness that comes with turning 52 in a new promo video for Time Machine, in which she playfully observes the age-specific tendencies of people in their 20s, 30s and 40s.

“Wake your ass up!” she jests while passing by a crew of slovenly, coffee-slurping 30-year-olds. “You look like you need a damn B12 shot.”

The promo features a cameo from Benioff and Weiss, who cluelessly look on as Jones feels herself in what she has no idea is actually a two-way mirror.
