The Funniest Tweets about Mike Pence Leaving the Colts/49ers Game

Today Vice President Mike Pence flew, on our dime, to a Colts/49ers game in Indianapolis, then promptly left out of protest. A protest of what? A protest of protest, of course. “I left today’s Colts game because President Trump and I will not dignify any event that disrespects our soldiers, our Flag, or our National Anthem,” Pence said in a statement quickly undercut by President Donald Trump, who tweeted: “I asked @VP Pence to leave stadium if any players kneeled, disrespecting our country. I am proud of him and @SecondLady Karen.” It was all a setup, you see, a stunt of sorts, specifically of the profoundly stupid sort. But oh, the tweets! What a great day this is for tweets:
I, a grown adult, attended a sporting event where a protest display was a near certainty, and I did so entirely so I could send these tweets https://t.co/1kyKXEjcvk

To be fair, I think Mike Pence leaving anything is a great way to respect the flag.
