Life Is Messy as Ever in the Trailer for Single Drunk Female Season 2Photo by Freeform/Danny Delgado Comedy News Single Drunk Female
The road to recovery is never linear, and no TV show highlights this truth as well as Single Drunk Female. The Freeform comedy is one of the best explorations of sobriety we’ve seen in a while, and thankfully it’s back for a second season on Wednesday, April 12 at 10pm EST/PST. On April 13, all 10 episodes from the new season will be streaming on Hulu and OnDemand.
Season 2 sees Samantha Fink (Sofia Black-D’Elia) 18 months sober and proud of the life she’s (re)built for herself. There are plenty of bumps in the road ahead for Sam, though, and reasons the Serenity Prayer (a favorite of 12 steps programs) may come in handy. Sam’s family and friends may not always understand her journey, but they’re not the ones living it.
The trailer for the new season teases the recurring roles of Busy Phillips (Girls 5eva, Cougar Town) and Ricky Velez (The King of Staten Island), as well as a cameo by Bob the Drag Queen. Molly Ringwald will make a guest appearance as Carol’s (Ally Sheedy’s) sister-in-law Alice and Charlie Hall is back as Sam’s ex Joel. Sheedy, Sasha Compere, Lily Mae Harrington, Garrick Bernard, and Ian Gomez all return to round out the excellent cast.
