Thanksgiving can be one of the most stressful times of the year and, considering the events of the last few days, this year’s turkey feast is on track to be even worse than usual. Writer and 30 Rock actress Bethany Hall and Inside Amy Schumer co-creator Daniel Powell wanted to capture that madness in their new show for Complex Networks’ Seriously.tv, aptly titled Thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving covers fours hours of Turkey Day in real time starting at 1:30 p.m., as one family plays football, runs out of beer, deals with racist elders and generally just squabbles a lot.

Hall said the show is loosely inspired by her own family’s Thanksgivings. “Have you ever brought your boyfriend home for Thanksgiving and realized that your family is a weird piece of performance art?” she said in a statement. “So have I.”

Powell said of the show, “Every year during Thanksgiving, millions of Americans search for a distraction from their families. Bethany and I are proud to present a series that provides just that.”

The show stars an ensemble cast including Bridey Elliott, her real-life father Chris Elliott (Eagleheart) and Amy Sedaris (Strangers with Candy), with guest appearances from Chris Gethard (Broad City), Todd Barry (Louie) and more.

Thanksgiving premieres exclusively on streaming platform go90 on Nov. 16 and runs through Nov. 23, with new episodes (eight in total) released daily. You can watch its trailer embedded above, and check out two clips from the show below.
