The promotions for Free Comic Book Day have begun with a video from Mark Hamill, encouraging readers to head to their local brick and mortar stores to pick up some new titles.
“Don’t buy them over the Internet,” he says. “Where’s the fun in that? You gotta get out, experience the community that is the fan world, maybe see some titles you never dreamed that you wanted.”
He goes on the elaborate on the variety of titles, including comics based on your favorite TV show, or comics based on cartoon characters. He even manages to slip a plug in for his recurring role as the Trickster on the CW’s The Flash.
Free Comic Book Day is Saturday, May 2.
