BOOM! Studios may have a fan-approved lockdown on Adventure Time comic tie-ins, but publisher Dark Horse Comics is all about the official coloring books these days, and one of the next ones on the docket is the Adventure Time Official Coloring Book, out July 25th. Unlike the maddeningly complex adult coloring books that have peaked in recent years, the Adventure Time Official Coloring Book embraces the show’s wide-open cartooning, which should make this collection of 45 original black-and-white coloring book pages welcoming to Land of Ooo visitors young and old. Alongside each line drawing of Finn, Jake, Princess Bubblegum and the rest of the cast is a quote from the smash-hit Cartoon Network television show. Attendees of San Diego Comic-Con will get an early preview of the title, but Paste readers can enjoy this special sneak peek at pages from Adventure Time Official Coloring Book cover artist Ron Chan, IDW Publishing mainstay Philip Murphy and Adventure Time comic contributors Shelli Paroline and Braden Lamb.
