This DIY Furniture Is The Perfect Gift For Kids

Design News

Looking for easy-to-build furniture that doesn’t break the bank? The London-based startup company SPYNTEX has created a versatile, eco-friendly product that gives kids creative freedom to design and build any type of furniture they can think of. This isn’t the stuff of your IKEA nightmares, guys. The assembly process encourages users to express their creativity by making practical items with a set of long and short pieces that easily clip together to create an ultra-tight bond. Part Lincoln Log, part Lego, and 100% green design, we think this is one of the best gifts for kids this year.

You might remember the viral video for Magic Sticks furniture making it’s way around the internet last year. Thousands of people praised the innovative idea but wanted something more affordable and family-friendly than the original wood design. So a group of young, inventive entrepreneurs reengineered the concept using lightweight 100% recyclable composite material. Available in nine different colors and in both kid and adult sizes, each SPYNTEX set is waterproof and extremely durable. The eco-friendly furniture design emerged on Kickstarter earlier this year and is now fully funded. But don’t worry, there are backing options still available if you can’t wait to get your hands on one. Starts near £85.
