5 Holiday Dessert-Themed Cocktails

It wouldn’t be Christmas without having a few cocktails. We’ve already published our picks for Christmas cocktails, but we couldn’t resist sharing these dessert-inspired cocktails created by celebrity caterer and founder of Elegant Affairs, Andrea Correale as well.

I’m not typically a Yule cake fan, but in drink form, it sounds delicious…

Pumpkin Pie Martini


1.5 oz. vanilla vodka
1 oz. spiced rum
1 oz. Domaine De Canton
2 tbsp. Pumpkin Pie Puree
2 tbsp. white sugar
1 tsp ground pumpkin pie spice
1 cup marshmallow cream or whipped cream for garnish

1. Add vodka, rum, canton & pumpkin pie puree into a cocktail shaker with ice
2. Shake until well combined.
3. Rim a martini glass with sugar & pumpkin spice
4. Double strain Pumpkin Pie Martini into the glass & top with marshmallow cream or whipped cream.

North Pole Nog


6 oz. of your favorite local small batch egg nog 
1 oz. spiced rum
2 oz. bourbon 
1 tbsp. ground cinnamon for garnish 
Cinnamon sticks optional

1. Add spiced rum and bourbon to egg nog and stir to combine.
2. Sprinkle with cinnamon
3. Insert cinnamon stick (optional)



2 oz. ginger beer for a spicy finish or ginger ale for a sweeter finish
½ oz. egg white
1 oz. spiced rum
 2 oz. Domaine De Canton 
1 oz. Frangelico
1 tsp molasses
 1 tbsp. honey
½ cup fine ground ginger snap cookie garnish
Cinnamon stick (optional)

1. Add spiced run, Canton, Frangelico, egg white and ice to a cocktail shaker.
2. Rim a martini glass with honey & molasses and dip in ginger snap cookie dust.
3. Pour two ounces ginger beer/ale into martini glass then strain the contents of the cocktail shaker into martini glass.
4. Sprinkle top with ginger snap dust.

Peppermint Kiss


1 ½ oz. peppermint vodka 
 ½ oz. vanilla vodka
4 oz. champagne 
1 tsp cup crushed peppermint candies 
1 jar gold sprinkles for garnish

1. Rim champagne flute with peppermint vodka, dip into gold sprinkles.  
2. Pour ½ oz. vanilla vodka 1 oz. peppermint vodka into flute
3. Add with 1 tsp crushed peppermint candies.
4. Top off with 4 oz. of your favorite champagne.

Yule Cake Cocktail


 2 oz. Kahlua
 2 oz. vanilla vodka
 2 oz. Dorda Double Chocolate Liqueur
3 oz. Heavy Cream 
Whipped cream
Pirouette Cookies for garnish

1. Add 2 oz. Dorda Double Chocolate Liqueur to the bottom of a latté glass. (To create a layered visual effects of a classic yule log, you will need a medium spoon.)
2. Place the spoon back side up into the glass and pour 2 oz. of heavy cream slowly over the back of the spoon.
3. In a separate glass combine 1 oz. heavy cream, 2 oz. vanilla vodka and 2 oz. Kahlua until well mixed and pour over the back of the spoon.
4. Top with whipped cream and garnish with Pirouette Cookies.
