Use a Blowtorch to Light a Hot Toddy
Video by Delicatessen NYCIt’s officially National Hot Toddy Day, which is the day we all pretend to have a cold so we can pour some whiskey in our hot tea. If there was ever a worthy holiday, this is it. You can find a plethora of Hot Toddy recipes on the wild wild web, including this list we published earlier this week. But how about a recipe that uses a blowtorch?
Chef Michael Ferraro from NYC’s Delicatessen created a Hot Toddy recipe with a bit of showmanship thanks to the act of lighting oil from an orange with a blowtorch. Sure, you could use a lighter or a match to create the same blaze, but matches and lighters aren’t as badass as a blowtorch.
Check out the video, and here’s the recipe if you want to try it at home.
